History

Residential Living Services (RLS), Inc. is a health and human services organization, incorporated in 1994 to provide supportive residential living options to the community’s vulnerable individuals (elderly and disabled individuals).

RLS is founded on the belief that with the necessary support, training and resources, vulnerable individuals can live longer within the community. Therefore, leading richer and more meaningful lives.

RLS began operation in January of 1995, providing assisted/supportive residential housing to the elderly and developmentally disabled. In 1998, services were expanded and RLS built its second Community Based Residential Facility (CBRF). Both facilities are licensed by the state of Wisconsin.

In 2003 and 2004 RLS, contracted with Milwaukee County and expanded services to include Supportive Independent Living (SIL) apartments. The SIL apartments are shared two-bedroom apartments, providing a la carte assistance/support with daily living activities. Services are provided on an individual need basis.
